Launch of EpiLogic in India, in cooperation with SWAFE Bioworks Pvt. Ltd.

EpiLogic GmbH and SWAFE Bioworks Pvt. Ltd., based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, are proud to announce their partnership to establish EpiLogic GmbH in India.

EpiLogic GmbH, headquartered in Germany, is Europe’s market leader in fungicide resistance and adaptation monitoring studies. Together, SWAFE Bioworks and EpiLogic bring 25+ years of global expertise to the Indian agricultural sector, offering advanced solutions in:

• Plant Pathology
• Field Trials
• Regulatory Support (India & Global)

Milestone

On August 1, 2025, we set up our first Indian facility in Hyderabad, where our team, together with EpiLogic GmbH experts, will:

• Transfer knowledge and advanced laboratory protocols.
• Launch existing EpiLogic services in India.
• Develop new India-specific plant pathogen studies, including Seed Health Testing.

The commercial launch of the EpiLogic services in India is planned for December 2025.

Why it matters for India

India’s fast-growing agricultural sector faces a major challenge. Fungal plant pathogens adapt and develop resistance to modern fungicides. Adding to this, pathogen samples cannot be shipped outside India, making local solutions for resistance monitoring essential. EpiLogic will introduce proven European methodologies to build reliable monitoring and adaptation programs, benefiting both domestic and global Agri-stakeholders.
